Today was a good day for Homewood. The obvious reason is the new snow coming down hard. Here are a few photos. The other reason is behind the scenes. Yesterday, Step 11 of the Community Enhancement Program took place where the TRPA staff made recommendations toward the half dozen “community center” type development projects now on the drawing board to award compliance with the goals and objectives of the program. Homewood is the only project south of Tahoe City. No word yet on any casualties of the process but there was no report of concern about the plans for Homewood.

A report today from Homewood suggest that the TRPA staff recommendations made Monday, included only good news for Homewood. There were no casualties of the process at this stage of the process with only minor adjustments made to the overall availability of comodities for the developments proposed. It was a non-event.
